Marion Cotillard (French:[maʁjɔ̃kɔtijaʁ]^ⓘ; born 30 September 1975) is a French actress who has appeared in both European and Hollywood productions. She is the recipient of various accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, two César Awards, and a Golden Globe Award. She became a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters in France in 2010 and was promoted to Officer in 2016, the same year she was named a Knight of the Legion of Honour.

Cotillard began her career at the age of seven. She had her first English-language role in the action series Highlander (1993) at the age of seventeen, and made her feature film debut in The Story of a Boy Who Wanted to Be Kissed (1994). Her breakthrough came in the French film Taxi (1998), and she won the César Award for Best Supporting Actress for A Very Long Engagement (2004). She had her first major English-language role in A Good Year (2006) and won the Edith piaf books!
